Dear parents,
The CSC Board drafted a questionnaire to circulate to all the Regent Candidate Advisory Council recommended candidates for the UMN Board of Regents this cycle. We then processed their answers and determined which candidates we believe will be the strongest on campus safety related issues. You can read more about our endorsements on the first two pages of the attached PDF. The rest of the pages contain the original questionnaire responses from each candidate.
CALL TO ACTION:
We are looking for your help in advocating for these candidates. If you're a Minnesota resident, please use this tool to look up your legislators and consider sending them an email or make a phone call in support of these regent candidates who will take campus safety concerns seriously: https://www.gis.lcc.mn.gov/iMaps/districts/
If you are from out of state, please send an email to the members of the House and Senate Higher Education Committees. They are meeting on February 28th to vote on these candidates with the goal of putting together a slate to advance to the entire House and Senate for a final vote:

CSC was a booth sponsor at the Explore the U event during Welcome Week at the Bank. We discussed safety tips and handed out personal safety alarms to the students.
UMPD Safety Walk 10/28/2022
Another great safety walk hosted by UMPD, with a great turnout. There were multiple elected officials that walked with the students and families. City Council, Block by Block, and MPD were also represented. UMN represented by Regents Rosha and Farnsworth.
